Müller's Fluid

Müller's fluid is basically a simple dichromate solution with an indifferent salt (potassium sulphate). Used as the primary fixative it has limited application as the preservation is merely adequate, but it may be used as a secondary fixative for post chroming.
Time
Generally, one or two days fixation for normal slices of tissue should be satisfactory. When used for post chroming it may be applied for several days.
Aftertreatment
Wash well with running tap water to remove excess dichromate.
